Abstract
Ten Cases of Head-Injured, Suicide-Surviving Adolescents: Challenges for Rehabilitation
Parmelee D X~~et al
Describes 10 adolescents who made unequivocal suicide attempts which resulted in near-death & brain damage. This group was mostly male, in late adolescence, & with histories of psychiatric difficulties. The fact that each had tried to commit suicide was avoided by medical care facilities & families. Includes suggestions for mental health clinicians consulting on such cases & presents 2 cases to highlight findings & recommendations of the study. (9 ref)
