A descriptive study of suicides in 74 Chinese schizophrenic outpatients is presented. Results are analyzed according to family history of mental illness; onset, duration & course of illness; admission history; previous depressive episodes & suicide attempts; last psychiatric contact; & life events that precipitated suicide.
