This paper is presented in 3 parts. Part A concerns suicidal behavior in adolescents with a focus on Alberta. The causes of death & rates of suicide in Albertan children & adolescents, as well as, attempted suicide & parasuicide are examined specifically. Part B presents hypotheses & priority areas of research. Part C is a summary of previous studies by the author in the field of suicidal behavior. (CM)
