In this chapter, the author explores Judism’s view of suicide. He draws on 2 texts to conclude that to commit suicide, wven under the most trying sircumstances, is to give up hope in God & therefore, against the Jewish ethos. He uses the remainder of the essay to elaborate on this idea. (CM)
