This chapter examines studies for insights into some generational attitudes & communication themes in families of adolescents. Other clues to the socialization of youth are provided in studies of adolescent peer relationships. A further study will emphasize the ways adolescents tend to talk about their death concerns. The author concludes with 6 suggestions for improving communication between adolescents & their parents especially in talking about death. (CM)
