Helping Bereaved Adolescents: Needs and Responses (IN: Adolescence and Death, ed. by C A Corr and J N McNeil)

There is little research investigating bereavement in adolescence, & no comprehensive model to facilitate an understanding of the adolescent grief experience. This chapter proposes a model of grief relating loss to the task & conflicts of normal adolescent development, & discusses aspects of intervention with this population. The author also reviews the literature & discusses the methodological problems associated with the research. (CM)
