The authors describe the use of a model to analyze the effectiveness of 6 interventions for decreasing youth suicide in the U.S. & the use of a questionnaire to ask experts about factors that determine the effectiveness of those interventions. A wide range of uncertainty about each intervention’s effectiveness exists. No one intervention can be considered a cure for suicide. They suggest more empirical research & analysis of interventions is needed before large-scale programs are begun. (CM)
