The authors were to review studies which evaluate youth suicide prevention activities. Finding no such studies, the authors reviewed the value of adult suicide prevention activities as activities for adults may be appropriate for youth. They divided their paper into primary prevention (preventing the initial occurrence of ideation or bereavement) & secondary prevention (preventing non-lethal suicidal behavior from progressing to death).
