Abstract
Teenagers at Risk: An Adult Perspective
Many people have looked at teenagers’ views of the world including studies by the US Public Health Service & the Dept. of Ed. Yet few have examined adult views of adolescents. The National Assoc. of Private Psychiatric Hospitals commissioned an independent national survey of adult perceptions, attitudes & beliefs about problems ranging from the predictable (fights with parents) to the life-threatening (suicide). The results provide a picture that will be useful to clinicians & policy leaders.
