Early Intervention to Prevent Adolescent Suicide: Mental Health-Runaway Youth Shelter Cooperation

Huckleberry House & the North Central Mental Health Services’ Suicide Prevention Service is developing screening procedures for at risk, runaway youth. A training manual will describe emergency intervention procedures being developed. A curriculum , which is under evaluation, is developing to train counselors, para-professionals & volunteers at the shelter. A base line is being established for Huck House regarding the relationship between high risk youth & youth identified with family violence.
