The risk of suicide among AIDS patients was thought to be low, despite a high ideation. Data from New York City medicalexaminer indicates however, that the overall relative risk is 66 times higher than the general population. AIDS patients who commit suicide tended to be white gay men 37.5 years, diagnosed for less than six months.
