Reviews investigations assessing childhood & adolescent suicide risk, with emphasis on the need to understand the role of anxiety psychopathology & the occurrence of suicidal behaviours in children with anxiety disorders. Discussion centers on the need to improve current methods in assessing both sucidal behaviour & anxiety, & the need for prospective studies of anxiety disorders in children & adolescents to identify those at risk for suicide & other psychopathology.
