The greater lakes mental health foundation of Tacoma Washington, formed the Lifeline Institute recently to address the issue of youth suicide. It’s three primary goals are to increase public awareness, develop educational materials and to initiate multidisciplinary planning among professionals. A conference was held to promote these goals among professionals and the public. As well, task forces have been created to help the effort. The institute has met with positive responses from the outset.
