This article looks at Safe-Net, which is a consortium of 4 community based agencies designed to address the problem of youth suicide in Florida. Safe-Net is an additional system management component in a 3 component system. The other elements in the system are intervention/prevention, crisis response & counseling services. The main purpose of Safe-Net is to determine the availability of present services & the scope of needs not addressed.
