This is a summary of a study which investigated the efficacy of crisis intervention using a psychodynamically oriented CI Center & concurrent measures of psychological & diagnostic features of 24 patients. The correlation between the degree of improvement & ego functions indicated that psychodynamically oriented psychotherapy acted in a specific way to reduce the symptomatology & to restore the patient to his previous level of functioning through his involvement in a working relationship.
