This article looks at a recent Fort Lauderdale case which became particularly controversial because it was the first time that child abuse charges had been brought against a parent after a child’s suicide & the first time a psychological autopsy was admitted as evidence in a criminal trial. The latter raises troubling questions for judges, attorneys, psychologists & mental health workers concerned with suicide. (GW)
