In this study, the 25 teenage suicides in King County, Washington, in 1983-84 were compared with the 158 adult suicides in 1984 by sex, race, declaration of intent, motive, method, isolation, alcohol or drug intoxication at time of death, prior suicide threats & attempts, counseling history & diagnosis & family history of suicide. Teens were also queried for e.g. school & employment status, depression. Findings indicate that teenage suicides are similiar in many respects to adult suicide. (GW)
