This study looks at first year university students and how their opinions of campus life are a function of family support. The student’s reports reveal that distance from home, frequency of family visits, and number of relatives residing in the area were factors related to crisis reactions. The further away a student was from home and the less they were in contact with family members the greater the threat of a crisis reaction.
