Formed in 1985 by people from such groups as the ministry & education, mental health, referral & treatment agencies, to integrate services for youth at risk for suicide, the Coalition on Adolescent Suicide of Allegheny County supports prevention, intervention & postvention, educates professionals & serves as a clearinghouse to the community & other coalition members. Meetings update members on research, review media coverage on suicide & report on new & existing agencies.
