Suicides and Attempted Suicides in the Union Territory of Delhi (HV 6548 I52 D548 1985)

The data for this extensive study was drawn from 4581 cases of suicide & attempted suicide recorded by Delhi police during the 66- period 1914-1979. A comparison study is also performed, using data from the last 5-year segment. Numerous tables & figures illustrate epidemiologic & demographic findings. Findings are discussed in the concluding chapter; prevention strategies are suggested, particularly in the education of those who come into contact with large numbers of people. (NBB)
