159 relatives of suicide victims responded to a questionnaire on their feelings & experiences. 86% felt guilt after the suicide, & 83.6% felt angry. Anger was negatively correlated with age. Suicide survivors also experienced concentration loss and sleeping difficulties. Females indicated more negative symptoms than males. Problems unique to suicide survivors included separation & isolation within & outside the family, coping with mental images of the death scene & denial of the cause of death.
