Dexamethasone Suppression Test (DST) in Relation to Depressive Somatic and Suicidal Manifestations

An investigation of 51 depressed inpatients showed a significant positive correlation between non-suppression in dexamethasone suppresssion test (DST) and the extent of depressive somatic symptoms. The DST did not differentiate between depressive suicidal and non-suicidal patients.
