Suicide and Cancer: I. Demographic and Social Characteristics of Cancer Patients Who Committed Suicide in Sweden, l973-l976

A study of all officially registered suicides among persons with a cancer diagnosis from l973 to l976 yielded 88 cases. The medical records, forensic medical records, and police reports of these cases were analyzed for demographic and social factors. The timing, location, method, and other circumstances of the suicidal acts are described.
