Peck describes a suicide prevention program for students which was developed in accordance with Senate Bill 947. The curriculum calls for a series of 5 classroom sessions for students, teacher training education, & a parent awareness session. The focus in the classroom is to help the students to understand themselves & the stresses they live with; how to cope with everyday depressive feelings & to differentiate them from clinical depression & to understand that suicide feelings pass.
