This book contains ten articles on suicide written by Dr. Shneidman during the period 1960-1980. He illustrates many aspects of self-destructive behavior, including cognitive, affective, psychodynamic, psychosocial, cultural and philosophic influences. Throughout this volume emphasis is placed on the suicidal person’s thinking style and philosophical orientation, and an attempt is made to combine theoretical and clinical efforts.
