This two page article provides suicide statistics for the elderly in the U.S. Older adults are shown to be the age group at highest risk for death by suicide. Motivations for elderly suicide & opportunities for prevention are also outlined. The author concludes with what can be done globally & in specific circumstances to combat suicide in the elderly.
