Marlow Y P
The purpose of this research was to examine suicide and homicide to see whether they show similar or contrasting patterns when studied from a situational perspective. Situations studied include the final violent exchange between the principal participant and the victim, social context, spatial patterns, the presence of alcohol, weapons use, and temporal configuration. Homicides and suicide occurring in Philadelphia from January to December 1979 are examined.
