Trazodone Overdose: Four Years of Experience From Voluntary Reports

This article details 88 cases of Trazodone overdose. In 73 cases, recovery was uneventful; in 6 cases unexpected complications developed. 9 deaths occurred in patients who had taken Trazodone in combination with other drugs &/or alcohol. Data from the American Association of Poison Control Centers & The National Institute on Drug Abuse, corroborates the view that, when taken alone in overdose, Trazodone appears to have limited toxicity. 9 refs.
