The purpose of this study was to determine what psychological & social factors, either separately or in combination, differentiate homosexual men who have attempted suicide from those who have not. 20 Caucasian homosexual attempters were compared with 163 who had never attempted suicide. A logistic regression model consisting of 11 variables identified in the screening procedure was able to discriminate between attempters & non-attempters more effectively than any single variable.
