Describes the case of 44-year-old Gary Weidner who was sentenced to 15 years in prison for taking the life of a 29-year-old quadriplegic. Jamie Martin had begged to die following a car accident that left her severely disabled. Weidner was released after serving 8 months of his sentence. An appeals panel ruled that the 15-year sentence was excessive. (LH)
