Presents a follow-up study of all attempted suicides presented at a West German hospital during a 1 year period. Focus of the study was to learn if social risk factors changed after attempted suicide & to record the supporting activity of the social environment. Findings appear to indicate that, following an attempt, the person tries very hard to clarify existant problems & to reduce social risk factors. Additional findings are included. (LH)
