Presents a study designed to examine the paradox that, while it is reasonable to expect a very large suicide attempt group amongst the aged, the reality appears to be the opposite. Findings indicate that completed suicides are over-represented in old age while attempted suicide is under-represented. Additional findings & implications are included. (LH)
