Year: 1986 Source: Annual Meeting of the American Association of Suicidology, (19th: 1986: Atlanta), p.36-38 SIEC No: 19870289

The workshop’s primary focus was on the legacy of neglect of victims by health & social service professionals. Evaluation & treatment protocols have placed the origin of victimization in the psychological traits of the victims rather than in the social & power disparities to which most victimization can be traced. The urgency of correcting the problem was stressed. 7 recommendations are given for suicidology & crisis specialists.
