The study compared 25 experimental & 25 control students, average age 18.5, for differences in serious suicidal thoughts & behaviors. The variables examined & discussed are: the structure of the social network, the type of support received with a stressful event, their satisfaction toward this support & the meaning of this evaluation. Both groups experienced the event with a comparable degree of intensity. All subjects in the experimental group had serious suicidal thoughts varying in duration.
