Considers the validity of statements in the literature that the race differential in suicide rates is lessening. Official U.S. suicide crude rates, age adjusted rates & number of suicides for 1933-1983 were compiled for whites compared to non-whites. This investigation indicated that non-white rates of suicide continue at levels approximately half that for whites. (LH)
