An unusual case of suicide with a self-inflicted bite mark on the breast is presented. The authors are unaware of any previously published instancess of self-inflicted bite marks on the breast in suicide victims. It is suggested that, in all bite mark cases, the dentition of the victim be recorded and evaluated in order to exclude the possibility of a self-inflicted bite, or to permit later matching of bite marks to the dentition of a suspect.
