Ginzburg H M~~Allison M~~Hubbard R L
The depressive symptomatology found in drug abuse treatment programs in the Treatment Outcome Prospective Study (TOPS) from 1979-81 is described. Correlations between the depressive symptoms & demographic & outcome variables are presented. Changes in symptom level after 3 months in treatment are reported. Questions on depressive symptoms include suicide ideation & attempts. Those at highest risk of suicidal behaviors & ideation are clients in the multiple nonnarcotic & other narcotic groups.
