Findings of a survey, conducted in the 1950s, on morbidity & mortality from economic poisons (pesticides) are presented. Compiling reliable pesticide poisoning statistics has been difficult due to lack of uniformity in identifying & recordiding injurious agents. Statistics on occupational & nonoccupational injuries are presented. A chart includes suicides from poisons, 1915-55. Another figure shows accidental vs. suicidal poisonings, 1955.
