Workshop Development History of the Suicide Prevention/Intervention Foundation Workshop

In this paper, the author outlines the Suicide Prevention Foundation Workshop curriculum development from 1980 to 1985. He discusses the original Alberta mandate, the Pilot Phase (1982), Field Tests (1983), the Apprenticeship Phase (1984), the Implementation Phase (1985) & further applications. The paper was presented at the Suicide Prevention Training Program, Trainer’s Update Symposium in Edmonton, Alberta in May 1985. (CH)
