This article explores variables related to suicide, including age, sex, race, ethnic group, marital condition, geographic location, economic status, religious affiliation, emotional, & psychological factors. Suicide was found to be more common among men than women, much more prevalent among whites than Negroes, & at its highest peak in advanced old age in men & at about age 65 in women.
