The focus of this study is upon the interpersonal perceptions of health siblings of leukemic & asthmatic children. 3 groups of 15 families identified as having a child with leukemia, chronic bronchial asthma, or no chronic illness were selected. The Conceptual Grid was administered to all healthy siblings & the Children’s Health Checklist was completed by the parents. Results indicated that these children feel a lack of closeness with their parents & feel isolated from emotional support.
