Abstract

Dodson M G
This study was undertaken to determine the problems, needs, & characteristics of the grief process in family survivors of a suicide, a group that tends to encounter a more difficult grief process than survivors of other types of death. Data were collected from a review of related literature, an analysis of EMHS files, & personal interviews the author held with 13 suicide bereaved individuals. The sample group exhibited less psychopathy: possible explanations are discussed & a model proposed.
