Stivers C G
This study investigates inadequate or insufficient parent-adolescent communication as a factor in teenage suicide. Subjects were 53 adolescents & their parents from rural southern Illinois who responded to mailed questionnaires (PACI & SKI). Ages ranged from 12-18 (mean 15.5) & 31-59 (mean 42.1). Statistical analysis of this data indicated there appeared to be significant relationships between mother & adolescent scores & between the adolescent’s SDI & PACI scores. (NBB)
