The hypothesis that there is a trend toward increased suicide acceptance among high school & college studnets is investigated. 132 H.S. juniors, 127 seniors, 275 Introduction to Psychology students, & 76 advanced Psychology students completed a 50-item questionnaire containing various psychosocial questions, including one “right-to-die” & 3 other suicide-related items. A strong correlation was found between self-determination & suicide acceptance; however, the hypothesis itself was not proved.
