The aim of this paper is to characterize two types of people in a crisis situation: those who need few interventions & those who need help over a longer period. A population of clients between 1980-84 were divided into 2 groups: group 1 had come 1.5 times to the centre; group 2, 6 or more times. A typical group 2 client was female, under 30, not working in a profession, & constricted. A group 1 client was usually male, over 30, working in a profession, & not constricted. (NBB)
