Attitudes Toward Suicide Prevention in Institutional Settings: A Comparison of a Major Health Maintenance Organization and a Large Urban University

Attitudes toward suicide & suicide prevention in institutional settings both shape the structure of the institution & are shaped by pre-existing structure within the institution. This study illustrates the interaction between the mental health professional & the larger organization regarding attitudes toward suicide & suicide prevention. The SASI & the SAQ were used to collect data from key helping professionals at SFSV & th Kaiser Medical Centre.
