The authors delinate & describe 5 basic divisions of micro-suicidal behaviors: Progressive self-denial, increased involvement in an inward life style, behaviors that adversely affect physical health, the formation of destructive bonds in marital relationships, & withholding, renunciation of personal & vocational goals. This behavior stems from feelings of self-hatred & negative attitudes toward the self that are incorporated by the child at an early age of development. 8 Ref.
