A discussion of civil liability for suicide. The author claims that when suicide is foreseeable the defendant should be held liable where negligence is a factor. Where bodily harm or death is foreseeable then deatth by suicide should be recoverable.When suicide is not foreseeable & bodily harm is not within the original risk governing duty then the defendant should be relieved from liability should suicide result.
