A cross-sectional survey of a low socioeconomic patient group was designed to determine the prevalence & severity of parentally perceived behavioral problems in adolescents as well as to investigate the correlation between such problems & single parenting, family communications and medical care delivered. The sample population was drawn from a family practice centre. Results indicate the need for physician education of low socioeconomic & single-parent patients with regard to communication.(NBB)
