This article documents changes made to the practices & procedures carried out by hospital ER’s & local police in the district of Columbia following a complaint lodged by a female rape victim in September, 1985. During the first 9 months of the program, 322 females were seen. One victim attempted suicide. (NBB) 6 refs.
